Table screen fields

Some existing configurations may contain properties that do not currently control the behaviour their names suggest. Do not rely on these fields when diagnosing current table-screen behaviour.

displayColumns

Example:
displayColumns does not currently determine:
  • which fields appear on the table screen; or
  • the order in which those fields appear.
The table screen builds its columns from the downloaded row data and automatically hides certain system fields. You may retain displayColumns as planning or configuration information if it is useful to the setup team, but:
  • do not remove a required field from requestColumns because it is absent from displayColumns;
  • do not expect changing displayColumns alone to change the table screen;
  • do not use displayColumns as the first place to troubleshoot missing fields.

view

Example:
view does not currently select a source-database view. If the downloaded data needs to be restricted, use queryFilter and ensure that the configured source table and field names are correct.
