Dsync is designed around the work in front of you. The exact screens vary by site, but the useful pattern is the same: open the relevant operation, enter or capture the values, save the record, and confirm that it has reached the next stage.

A reliable field workflow

1

Open the assigned operation

Choose the form, record list, or workflow that matches the work you are doing. If the expected operation is not visible, check your account and role with your FarmTrace administrator.
2

Capture the values

Enter the requested values. Use a lookup, dropdown, barcode, or smart scan when that control is available and appropriate for the field.
3

Review before saving

Check identifiers, quantities, dates, and related selections while the work is still easy to correct. A scan or lookup can supply a value, but you remain responsible for confirming the result.
4

Save and confirm the outcome

Save the record and look for the success, pending, or error state shown by the app. If the device is offline, keep the local record and complete the sync check later.

Configured capture tools

Do not assume that a blank or unavailable field is a network problem. The field may be hidden by the current role or not included in the site configuration. Ask your administrator before changing a record to work around it.

Working without a connection

If connectivity drops during field work:
  1. Finish the record if the required data is available locally.
  2. Save it and note that it is waiting to synchronize.
  3. Move to a location with a reliable connection.
  4. Run the normal sync check and confirm the server-side result.
Avoid clearing local app data or signing out until any pending work has been accounted for.

Before you report a problem

Record the operation, account or role, approximate time, device state, and exact error text. That information lets your administrator distinguish a form configuration issue from a connection or permission issue.
